General Underwriting Guidelines

To pre-qualify for SBA financing, the following general underwriting criteria must be met:

Industry Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years

Credit History:

  • Applicants must have good personal credit

Existing Businesses:

  • Must show a Debt Coverage Ratio (DCR) of 1.15x for the most recent tax year and the current year

Financial Performance:

  • Revenues and cash flow should be stable or improving

Down Payment Requirements:

  • 10% for Real Estate Purchases

  • 10% for Business Acquisitions

  • 0% for Partner Buyouts

  • 0% for Refinances
